Meditation in nature

Day 1 & 2

Lima - Sacred Valley

Welcome to Peru!  We'll spend a morning together walking the Lima coastline and drinking in the fresh ocean breeze. Then we'll board our flight into Cusco and meet up with our Inkayni guide for a scenic transfer into the Sacred Valley, passing snow-capped Andes and fertile farmland along the way.

 

Settle into the serene surroundings of an Andean lodge, sip coca tea, and ease into the altitude with relaxation and an afternoon yoga class. In the evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner followed by a Peruvian sound healing experience.

Day 5

Ollantaytambo &  Aguas Calientes

Explore Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca towns, rich with history and stunning architecture. We'll see the iconic Sun Temple, terracing, and aqueducts, and take in the awe-inspiring Wall of the Six Monoliths.

 

In the afternoon, board the Vistadome train for a scenic journey to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

 

Upon arrival, enjoy a free evening to relax, explore the town, or soak in its famous thermal hot springs in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Day 8

Closing Ceremony & Flight Transfers

Begin the day with a heartfelt closing ceremony and a final group breakfast, sharing memories and connections made during the journey.

 

Afterward, bid farewell to fellow travelers. Some may choose to remain in Cusco for further exploration, others will head home, and a few may embark on an adventurous extension to the Amazon, discovering a completely different side of Peru.

Day 3

Visit Pisac with Hiking & Peruvian Pachamama Ceremony

Begin the day with morning movement and meditation before journeying to Pisac, where you'll explore terraced Inca ruins and hike a little-known trail with breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley.

 

Experience a spiritual ceremony led by our local guide, offering gratitude to Pachamama amidst this sacred setting.

 

After lunch in Pisac, browse the vibrant handicraft market for Peruvian textiles, jewelry & pottery .

​

Unwind from the day in jacuzzi's and sauna. We'll then finish out the night with some restorative yoga & family style dinner.

Day 6

Machu Picchu & Hike Huayna Picchu

Begin the day early  to experience the breathtaking sunrise at Machu Picchu.  Explore the iconic ruins with your guides during a two-hour tour, uncovering the mysteries of this world-renowned site.

 

Optional hike to Huayna Picchu Mountain offers incredible panoramic views and access to unique temples.

 

Afterward, enjoy free time to explore or join a guided meditation before descending to Aguas Calientes for a well-deserved lunch.

Day 8 & 9

Amazon Add-On

Journey up the Tambopata River to our Jungle Lodge, spotting wildlife like capybaras, caimans, and colorful birds along the way. Settle in and explore the jungle with a guided walk, then venture out after dark to see nocturnal creatures.

 

Visit the world-famous Chuncho Clay Lick, where hundreds of parrots and macaws gather in a dazzling display. Later, paddle across the pristine Condenado Lake, where you might spot monkeys, macaws, and even an anaconda.

Day 4

Salt Mines, Moray, Pachamanca, & Chinchero

Explore the ancient Maras Salt Mines, a stunning network of salt ponds still used by the local community. Continue to the terraces of Moray, thought to be an Inca agricultural laboratory, where we'll take time to pause & reflect amidst this breathtaking archaeological site.

 

Enjoy a traditional Pachamanca lunch with a local family, witnessing the unique preparation of this earth-cooked feast.

 

End the day in Chinchero, where you’ll observe master weavers reviving Inca traditions and shop for handmade textiles before returning to the lodge for some relaxation & a bonfire.

Day 7

Cusco City & Peruvian Cooking Class

Start the day with gentle stretching and breakfast before a guided tour of the impressive Sacsayhuaman ruins with panoramic views of Cusco.

 

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in a hands-on Peruvian cooking class with Chef Roger, crafting dishes like Lomo Saltado and Pisco Sours.

 

Next, visit Cusco's Plaza de Armas and its stunning cathedral, home to unique Inca-inspired artwork.

​

End the day with a restorative yin practice & breath work.

Day 10

Amazon Add-On

Start the day with breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a final scenic journey along the Tambopata River. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife along the riverbanks, such as capybaras, caimans, or even the elusive jaguar.

 

For those feeling adventurous, there’s an opportunity to try your hand at piranha fishing in designated spots before departing.

 

Once in Puerto Maldonado, you’ll receive full assistance with your next steps, whether catching a flight, boarding a bus, or continuing to explore the wonders of Peru.
